BFC Masters Big Day Out – April 26, 2025 🟡
Three games. Three wins. Twenty goals scored, four conceded.
The boys turned up, turned it on, and turned the league table into a live Top Gun reenactment—we’re flying.
The game had really started pre-match though — in the car ride in, with a healthy dose of Masters banter, a sprinkle of meaning, and the reminder that our longest-serving legend Kev (putting out a ciggy as he got into the car) and our newest addition James would both be on the pitch. At one point, it even looked like we’d be fielding six ex-club captains. Legacy and future, side by side. These pre match vibes were very much boosted with the news that Lyndz was out of ICU following a second brain op. The fantastic news was that the surgeons were able to completely and successfully remove the tumour 💪🦁.
Game 1 – BFC 6-2 Fine Vintage 🍷
This was a table-topper clash, but BFC showed who’s really got the vintage legs and uncorked some quality football. Shotgun Pete (upgraded from Pistol Pete given his performance today) opened his account with a bang—then kept on firing. Takuma glided through defenders like they were holograms. Rowan added a bullet header that bent space-time. James slotted in with all the calm of a Sunday roast.
Fine Vintage found two goals through a sharp brace by Scotti—still a class act—but overall BFC made good use of the subs and got off to a great start.
