Shared Responsibility, Shared Grit
It was a tough afternoon at the YC&AC as we walked away with a 1–1 draw against YCAC Pulse. While every point counts in Division 3, there’s a collective feeling in the dressing room that this was a game we had to win.
The match was defined by moments of brilliance and areas for growth. A massive shoutout goes to Shimo, who found the back of the net with a fantastic strike to keep us in the hunt. However, the result serves as a reminder that individual moments aren’t enough to secure three points; it takes a full squad effort from the first whistle to the last.
The Takeaway: Energy is Collective
One of the biggest talking points coming out of today isn’t about tactics, but mentality. We cannot rely on just one or two voices to provide the spark. To compete at the level we know we’re capable of, every player on that pitch needs to be a leader. We need to lift each other up, bring the energy together, and take full responsibility for every single play—whether we have the ball at our feet or we’re tracking back.
We play to win, and that means holding ourselves and each other to the highest standard for 90 minutes.
Looking Ahead
We don’t have time to dwell on the “what ifs.” We have another fixture next week, which gives us the perfect opportunity to channel today’s frustration into a dominant performance. We’ll be back on the training pitch to prepare well, tighten up our game, and come back stronger.
Let’s keep our heads up and stay focused on the next challenge. Go BFC Tokyo!
