Unfortunately, Albion were unable to field so both BFC and FMJ were each awarded a 3-0 walkover.
A festival of football was not to be denied and we had a few friendlies with both FJ and BFC stepping for Albion to make up the numbers.
Game 1 – BFC 3 – 0 Albion OBĀ
After a turgid first period from BFC, we found our way in the 2nd half in the rainy conditions. Albion OB proved tough to break down and were relatively dangerous on the counter.
A long throw in was misjudged by everyone and was poked home by Alex to break the deadlock. Queue Duncan with 2 finishes late in the game. Clean sheet run preserved.
Game 2 – BFC 6 – 2 FJ Masters
Whilst giving up a respectable run of clean sheets, BFC dominated in the rain, but FJ had their chances. Goal keeper/ right winger Keith proving very dangerous out on the flanks.
BFC were clinical with Alex bagging 3, Brian and Will (yes, read that right) with one each and an own goal to round things off.
Onwards to the last set of games next week, with a win needed to claim a 2nd title.
