Game 2 – BFC 7-1 Footy Japan 🇯🇵
A footballing feast. FJ were missing key regular players and it showed. Pete grabbed another pair to bring his tally to five for the day, James “Honda” roared forward rotating from midfield to up top to bag a hat-trick, and Takuma kept dancing into the net like a samba ghost.
Kev returned from injury/retirement/legend-status to rocket one in off the bar—the kind of goal you replay in your dreams. Brian bossed defence and midfield, Rowan from the back distributed like Amazon Prime (one delivery was John Madden-esk, cross field to Takuma who took a killer touch and then second touch blasted it into the back of the net). Pabs who controlled the tempo from the middle of the park setup a memorable Honda Header after spotting the ninja making a run in behind the defense. The back line stayed mostly solid—though we conceded one to keep the goal difference interesting (as FJ beat us twice previously the overall GD is 10-9).
