⚽ Match 2: BFC Masters 2 – 1 Fine Vintage
Scorers: James Honda, Saco
A tighter affair against last season’s runners-up. The match was physical, with Scottie providing a running commentary on the challenges faced. James opened the scoring, and Saco added a cheeky, well-taken back-to-goal flick to double the lead. We’re going to have to elaborate on this ‘cheeky goal’ – The magic started with The Engine motoring forward from defense, playing a lovely 1-2 with Pabs in the middle of the park, now at pace, collecting that return pass was made to look easy, but many a time we’re seen a heavy first touch that allows the defenders to have a nibble, or too soft a touch and the balls under your feet. Bri took it in his stride and his 2nd touch has a ball to Saco‘s feet. Again, a beautiful first touch, and the second on the swivel was a deft finish with the outside of the right boot into the bottom right corner. 〜70 years of BFC experience among those three players for a special goal. Woof!
Fine Vintage pulled one back after a defensive lapse, but BFC held firm to secure a second win on the day.
