There was no respite after a solid victory over FJ and next up for BFC was the Celts. This game proved a little closer than game 1. BFC continued to play solidly, the defense remaining unflappable throughout. The Celts controlled the ball a little bit more than BFC in the early exchanges and had one or two half chances but nothing that really troubled Teppei. After two seasons’ playing with Pete, this was to be his last game for BFC in Tokyo. After picking the ball up on the left he cut inside and beat the keeper well from distance with a curling effort. 1-0 BFC. There was a slight worry in the middle of the 2nd half when Teppei attempted some more Higuita style antics, but the Celts could not capitalize on what was the only blotch on an otherwise excellent display by the BFC custodian. BFC continued to be calm with and without the ball and although industrious, the Celts could not find a way through and were unable to find an answering goal.
