How became BFC member: Was introduced to the BFC by an Aussie bloke at work (Mark Malussa) who knew Brian Doyle and put me in touch. First game was a grass pitch in pouring rain somewhere in East Tokyo (Shinozaki) against a bunch of Leeds Utd lookalikes (Tokyo Crusaders). I remember joining the wrong team before kickoff. Gary was centre forward, Simon had a hangover, and I missed from 2yds with my first touch after coming on as a sub.
Most memorable BFC moments: Watching Kev Gray trying to murder a linesman for calling him offside. Marko being sent off against Fukunaga. Scoring the winning goal in the Copa Chile Final in 2001
Has become the replacement ‘Engine’ in the absence of Brian Doyle during Tax season. A real workhorse in the vein of Danny Murphy. Creates and scores a lot of goals even with the absence of steering gear on his motoring runs. We’re still waiting for his reply as to why he shaved off his beard. Rumor has it that it was due the stubble rashes he had been leaving on his unsuspecting students!
