Club legend Ged O’Connell has been a BFC stalwart and club leader since the very beginning, sacrificing huge amounts of his own time and energy to provide footballing and social opportunities to all, while ensuring harmony and positive interaction within the club. Hugely respected by all on account of his intelligence, and keen sense of fairness, equality, and justice, Ged is not only a focal point of the team, but also the club as a whole. Having organized the hugely popular Wednesday night futsal sessions for many years, Ged not only bought a plethora of new players to BFC, but also fostered a spirit of camaraderie and friendship in the club which we still benefit from today.
