Player Profile

British Football Club

Kevin Gray

Occupation:  Explorer, Writer for ‘J Select’ magazine
Entry to Japan:  September 1996
Footballing hero:  Kenny Dalglish
Supports:  Newcastle Utd
Most memorable BFC/Vags moments:  Grant’s Party. When I became the Man with No Shoe/Sid’s Maragarita-fest and its effect on Richard who conked out at 1am much to disgust of Laura who uttered her immortal line quote, Un-Currrl Yurrself, Man!, unquote. And Ueda.

Known in a previous incarnation as ”The Kit,” after having left the team kit on the train before a league match with the Irish. The team had to go out in an assortment of garments till the kit arrived at half-time! Once maybe a mistake, but Kev tends to make a habit of it. Has an excellent voice as we’ve found out at karaoke and even sings in pubs for the clubs benefit from time to time. Kev’s your man if you need an introduction to obscure religious sects, witches covens or your local PTA group. Has travelled the world and is none the wiser, but a decent footballer, it has to be said. He’ll miss a penalty one minute then score from 40 yards out the next. Missed his level 3 Japanese exam that he’d studied months for due to his undying commitment to the BFC (of course nothing to do with his nocturnal hedonistic antics!!) then breaking his leg in said match. He says he’s committed to the BFC – BFC simply states he should be COMMITTED!
