Allow us to introduce you to our match day leader and esteemed captain for the 2022/23 season, Romen Barua. Hailing from Ilford in the UK but inexplicably supporting Liverpool (glory supporter?!), Romen’s an aggressive but technically gifted right wing back who likes to keep it neat and tidy, protecting the team with his astute defensive awareness whilst also damaging the opposition with his intelligent offensive movement. Reiniscent of a marauding but perhaps slightly more sensible version of Roberto Carlos, Romen often defends through attack, keeping his opponents preoccupied with his own bursting runs down the flank. Nelson Vivas also springs to mind. Romen is a much coveted right back in the TML with a rich playing history, having flaunted his skills on the flank for Panthers, Pumas, and Shane before returning to BFC after originally joining in 2009. Romen doesn’t only leave his mark on the pitch; his successful car company Tokyo Supercars also adorns our shirts! On behalf of the club Romen, thanks for all your efforts and financial support.
